December 20, 2024 December
Christmas, end of the year.
Memories of this 2024 emerge, the end of which is approaching. January began with my participation in the 50th Anniversary exhibition of the Orfila gallery, the dean of Madrid galleries and a beloved meeting place for artists and art lovers. In February I headed to Basel (Switzerland), where I participated in the group exhibition entitled “Art Today”, in Katapult, a beautiful gallery next to the Rhine. From the spring, I have beautiful memories such as my talk at the art café at high school arts students at Monte Tabor School and I also fondly remember the great artist Eddie Hara whom I visited in his studio in Basel in May. In June I participated in the independent art fair Faim Art, at the Pons Foundation in Madrid, a great experience in a fair that unites the public and emerging and established artists. In summer, rest and preparation of the Puzzle project, which I presented at the Artbattalion festival in September. After an introspective and creative autumn, I am exhibiting again this December at the Katapult gallery in Basel (Switzerland).
Projects, creation, exhibitions, promotion of work, fairs, artist meetings, social networks and more projects and creating again… hopes, desires, fun, some setbacks, overcoming and creating again. The life of the artist in a year. I like to celebrate successes and learn from what I could do better. Looking back on 2024, I think it has been a great year and I set my sights on 2025, hoping it will be even better, for me and for you too.
I want to make one last reflection before saying goodbye to the year: art is valuable, but what is truly important is the people, sharing and feeling the love of those around you. This year would have been very different without the friendship and affection of my family and friends and artists like Pin Vega, Elena Ferrández, Javi Contreras, Lao Seré, Sonja Crone, Maf, Héctor Requena, Alfonsina… I want to express my gratitude to all of them .
Yes, yes, I say goodbye to you until next year. I leave you some images of 2024 and I wish you a very Merry Christmas and a fantastic entry into 2025!
