Basel is a city where art is bustling everywhere. It is the cultural capital of Switzerland, with world-class museums such as the Kunstmuseum Basel, the Beyeler foundation and the Tinguely Museum, as well as countless cultural activities throughout the year; among others, Art Basel, one of the most important art fairs in the world (I would say the most important, but I will be cautious). The historic center of Basel also offers many attractions and is ideal to explore and enjoy on foot, or by taking some of its punctual and comfortable trams. In Basel, in addition to culture, you can breathe an international air, as it borders, to the north, with Germany and to the west, with France. In fact, the Euroairport Basel- Mulhouse – Freiburg airport serves all three countries. When I travel there, I like to find myself at the airport with the double exit to France or Switzerland. At that moment, I must decide either to stay in the European Union or leave it. And I, naturally, leave the European Union, on foot, to take a bus that takes me to the center of Basel.

It is a great satisfaction for me to exhibit in this city. These days, in addition, the Christmas markets, the mulled wine (Glühwein) and the bustle of these dates, create a special atmosphere in the city. In Basel I exhibit, at the Katapult Gallery, next to the Rhine and the historic center, from today until January 25, in a collective with the artists Beatrice Schnitzer, Rossana Rossignoli and Leyla Milou. I’ll tell you how it went. For now I leave you some photos here, from the gallery and one with me, at a Christmas market, next to the cathedral. Be sure to visit the exhibition if you are there.
