A new year, the usual resolutions, and of course, excitement—at least on my part, and I hope on yours too—for everything that lies ahead.
The 26th is a special number for me, one that brings back fond memories. When I was little, the family home was at number 26 on the street, and the house where we spent our summers is also at number 26 on the square, in my parents’ village. And my birthday is also on the 26th… I hope this 26th continues to be special, like so many other 26ths, and that we both have a spectacular year. I’ve started mine by getting back to creating after a short break in December, with the exhibition at Euskal Etxea and the Christmas holidays afterward. I want to share with you a resolution—well, more of a wish, really—for this year:
I want to do some different things, in other mediums, besides the canvas I’ve mainly worked with until now. I’ll tell you more soon, for now I’ll leave you with an image of the work I’ve started, in progress, and I wish you all the best for the new year.
